- The fan should always be on in the A530. Since it wasn't on when you first
- started up I suspect something has overheated and died. Which chip has blown
- is hard to tell, though I have a nasty feeling it could be the 68030 CPU,
- which runs pretty hot anyway, even when the fan is running. Cooling around
- the '030 is hampered by the hard drive directly above it, and the lack of
- air flow due to the fan may have proved to be the final straw. Nasty.
